The COBIT assessment of your core processes is key to your project, as it defines the in- and out-of-scope content. The COBIT assessment can be done internally or by an external partner, but it is important that it be done from an objective point of view without any political influence in regard to responding to the COBIT self-assessment guide (ISACA 2016b).
